Magic in Yosemite National Park

A week ago, I led a retreat in Yosemite National Park.

After almost a year of working together to understand and process deep emotions, these women came together to celebrate, to connect, and to heal.

Over the course of three days, we witnessed so much magic, both inside my clients and outside in the world.

Intentions were set, and intentions were realized in the most perfect way.

We observed a wedding at sunrise, overlooking the magnificence of Yosemite National Park.

Each woman saw, individually, just how far she had come over the course of the last year.

Women who usually rush through life slowed down to see that being at the front of the line or the top of the mountain isn’t necessarily the ultimate goal.

Sometimes it’s better just to sit and be still. Right where you are.

My favorite part of any group program is an exercise where I allow each participant to acknowledge themselves for their participation and growth and then to hear themselves reflected through everyone else’s eyes. I usually time this exercise so nobody feels like they don’t have enough to say. I didn’t need a timer for this group- they could easily have gone on seeing the beauty in each other for hours.

Dreams for the future were explored. I’ve no doubt that many of these dreams will come to fruition. This group has already shown themselves that they can create whatever they want.

On the last night, we drank champagne and ate dinner prepared by a private chef under the stars.

I had envisioned that scene over a year ago when I had the audacious idea that I wanted to lead a group with a destination closing retreat with glamping and a National Park. Sitting at that dinner table, with the most incredible women, I was overcome with gratitude.

This is what happens when we set clear intentions and take action- dreams really do come true.
